History
The word Shaping was coined in 1987 in St. Petersburg to give the name to an innovative training technique that aims to improve physique. Since that time the word has become international. Shaping is a key word for women devoted to a healthy lifestyle in 13 countries worldwide. At present, Shaping is not only a Russian export product. It is also a system enabling to model beauties and intellectuals. In fact, many beauty pageant winners were put on the Shaping program in the pre-contest period, and about 75 percent of Shaping exercisers are university/college graduates or students.
Shaping is a dynamic, flexible and quick system. It keeps expanding, and by now Shaping has outgrown a training technique concept. As excellent companions to Classical Shaping, there were developed Shaping Choreography methods, Shaping Therapy and Shaping Massage techniques as well as Shaping Nutrition and Shaping Care concepts. Shaping clothes modeling concept came to be known as Shaping Style. It was specially developed for Shaping devotees and was recognized by the Russian Patent Committee as an invention.
Thus Shaping has become a system fostering physique perfection.
Its motto is “Through a healthy, beautiful personality to a happy society”.
1997 will see the 8th MISS PERFECTION OF THE YEAR CONTEST. In 1990 Elena Ryapolova became the first titleholder.
Miss Perfection Of The Year 91 title went to Tatyana Karpushina.
In 1992-93 Elena Ryapolova made a fantastic comeback. Anna Kiryashova was named the best in 1994. MISS PERFECTION 95 fell to Anna Bochkova. Again, in 1996 Anna Kiryashova scored the highest point and became an overall titleholder.
Since 1991 Shaping Show groups have been competing along with individuals. Last your Nizhni Novgorod Show group placed first.
From 1991 to 1995 St.
Petersburg show group was unsurpassable.

Actually this is a Shaping world championship. But Shaping contest rules are somewhat different.
First, any Shaping exerciser (regardless her residence place) with high scores gained at Shaping contests held in 1997 can compete at the Shaping finals. She should simply get to Shaping Perfection parameters as close as possible.
Second, this is an individual competition with no national or team distinctions.
Third, the point is to surpass oneself or to maximally express oneself. Self-advancement is the ultimate goal, which means no one loses the competition. MISS PERFECTION goes to the most advanced contestant, and she deserves the words “ You are worthy of admiration”.
In the context of the major Shaping event another contest will take place. This is Shaping Shef 97 contest, which boasts an international lineup featuring the best Shaping cooks.
